Local Support Programmes

South Ayrshire Council (SAC)

SAC offers the AMBITION programme that offers grants of differing amounts based on plans for your business. Also, the Invest South Ayrshire service can assist on enquiries for those businesses interested in location to the SAC region.

North Ayrshire Council (NAC)

NAC has a comprehensive Business Growth Programme (BGP) which assists across multiple areas such as e-business, improving efficiency and helping your business become investor ready. The BGP link also includes contact information for their business team.

East Ayrshire Council (EAC)

EAC offers a business support service that encompasses their ‘beReady’ service which offers expert 1-2-1 support, alongside support on business events, recruitment & training and procurement amongst other areas.

Business Gateway (BG)

The Business Gateway Ayrshire works with individuals and businesses across Ayrshire to support them to achieve their ambitions and goals. Whether you are self-employed, starting a business or already running a new or existing business, the BG can support you with a range of advice, expert knowledge, business information & market intelligence and workshops & events

Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce

The Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry offers a variety of valuable services to members including HR support, networking, events and business mentoring.

National Support Bodies

Scottish Enterprise (SE)

Scottish Enterprise is the national economic development agency for Scotland. SE works with ambitious companies and industries to support business growth and develop Scotland’s business environment. You can contact them to see how they can help you.

Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service (SMAS)

The Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service is a service provided by Scottish Enterprise. SMAS helps businesses become more profitable, competitive and successful. SMAS offers tailored manufacturing improvement support and can help you develop new products, services or processes and/or improve existing ones.

Skills Development Scotland (SDS)

Skills Development Scotland is Scotland’s national skills body supporting the people and businesses of Scotland to develop and apply their skills. SDS support for employers includes tailored skills advice and funding for workforce development, with 25,000 new Modern Apprentices starting each year.

Scottish Development International

By helping businesses around the world invest in or trade with Scotland, Scottish Development International (SDI) can help you find suppliers or source Scottish goods and produce.
